I have started to work on our free pc mini golf game again. A new version has been exclusively released for download on hUb with two new golf courts of 9 levels.
I think this game has lots of potential and I think it can become a fun game.

Here are some of my goals with my mini golf game:

1. Create a fun short multi player game experience where you can play with friends and others for a short period of time.

2. Investigate community features, like friend lists, custom high scores and user created content, maybe even competitions. Keeping track of records, statistics and so on.

3. Get the game up to a high standard, support multiple resolutions, easy to learn, nice GUI.

4. Find out which levels are fun and not. Maybe have some ranking system so that users can rank levels. Improve and work on the levels.

I spoke to Mikael (one of the graphics guys from our pc puzzle game Caribbean Pirate Quest) and he might join in on the game project. It is hard for us full time working dads to get time...

The ball could be an eye and the club could be someones ripped off leg Sticking out tongue

Or maybe make it super cute cibi style...

doh! I spell rather lousy, and my browser tries to correct it to Swedish. Is there any way to change the spell correction language in Firefox?

I have started to work on the user created content feature in Mini golf! I think it could be very cool if you could create your own levels and let others try them.

While you wait for that you can play the free new levels on the hUb!

More Mini Golf

I have worked a lot on the PC Mini Golf Game during this week. I have concentrated on the multi player game mechanics but also worked a lot on enabling user created levels.
Members of the Spell of Play gaming community should be able to create and upload their own golf court with nine levels.
So you create your own set of levels and can play multi player with your friends on them.

I have restricted the level editing and upload to registered Spell of play users and I plan to use cap the game so you have to buy it to create your own levels.
I will probably set a very low price for the first release and let people play the game for free but only on the two first golf courts.

I spoke with hObbE today, and we realized that it takes a very long time to create a good game. I really hope some of you join up and help me create this game and create levels, give feedback and perhaps kick my but in multi player!

Well the new version will be available on the hUb in the near future.
