  • Drop all items of same kind option
  • Boost constitution spell symbol
  • monsters depending on level disturbs rest
  • Character generation interface
  • Only three bodyparts, head, body and shoes
  • Enemies can aggravate eachother by speach...
  • enemies heal up when you leavel levels
  • enemies casts spells
  • quick cast spell by doubleclick on spell symbol
  • repair in shops
  • Active spells bars
  • all boost spells should stay when resting but you will not regain mana until they are dispelled
  • Dispell spells on clicking on active spell
  • use potion quick bar

Indeed live and kicking and great work on Hero! Laughing out loud

As you know I played as mage and found the game somewhat quirky and it is apparently mostly balanced/made for playing as a fighter.

Things I found a bit annoying when playing as a mage:

  • No real perks for mages
  • Clumsy interface for casting spells and reverting to moving
  • It took a while before I realized that I myself was damaged by the spells. This making it quite impossible to go into close combat with the current set of spells.

I will now play as thief Laughing out loud

Going to check it out asap!

dx versions

I built hero with august2007 version of dx I should probably used nov 2008

hm hUb only installs when d3dx9_40.dll is missing, but I think it should also check for 31 and 35 since we have useed them in earlier projects still on hUb...

Yeah that stuff is kind of messy...

These days Steam tends to do a specific DX install per game, just like running regular installers. I guess this is how MS intended for it to work, just a big pile of stuff lying around in a system folder somewhere..
