Cthulhu Breaker Premiere!

Heya Folks!

For the first time ever I release a iteration of my very own game here at SoP! So it's a first time premiere right here and now! Smiling

Cthulhu Breaker is a pretty straight forward Breakout clone, takin' me back to the roots when I started out here at SoP and we were working on Time Breaker (then Spheroids).
I've worked on CB since I moved here to Gillhov, Jämtland about a month ago, feeling really good in my new place, and I think this is one of the reason that I've gotten this far with a project really.

This is as mentioned the first iteration of Cthulhu Breaker, I've not started putting in sound into it yet, and theres a lot of things that needs polish.
But all in all it's pretty playable at this stage! I'm pretty sure that there is a big pile of bugs hiding in it though, and I hope that the community can help out to report all problems encountered.

The game starts through Java Webstart, so all you need to do is to click on this link here: http://cthulhubreaker.fagertveit.com/cthulhubreaker.jnlp

And heres some Screens of the game!

Hope you'll enjoy it and I'm of to work on Iteration 2 right away! So more to come!

Low-Poly Munchies!

Longtime since I posted anything here at SoP, been kinda busy with family matters for a while, but I have done a couple of small things for Hero, and soon I hope to create more content to this great upcoming rpg!
I read Johno's blog the other day, and in a article he wrote considering his project Swörd just made my fingers tickle for some Low-Poly modeling.
One thing I really must do is to learn about animation, rigging a model and make it alive for games in the future.
So I have started a mini project where I will design, model and animate a Low-Poly character.
I'm thinking about starting a forum thread where I can post updates on this project, some screens along the work-flow and maybe post some links to some good resource on the subject!

Anyway, I've done the initial concept design on the character I will work with, It's one of my favorite enemies from the all-time classic X-Com: Terror from the Deep! It's the almighty Deep One! Laughing out loud (Yeah, I'm a crazy Lovecraft fan as well Eye-wink)
So for this blog post I'll give you the Deep One concept, updates will come on the forum, so be sure to check by! Smiling

Bioshock Conceptart Book

A week ago I stumbled over a newspost on my favorite gamenews site (fragzone.se).
The news told that the team behind the anticipated title Bioshock had released a concept art book free to download on the site.
Being a big fan of gameart myself I just had to run over at once to grab me a copy.
There are two versions of the book avalible, a low-res and a high-res, more appropriate for printing.

I really like the design of this book, and the team has done a good work filling out the 60 pages of art.

Night of the Hatchet

Hi!

I've had my kids over the week while their mother have been on a thing called "The medeval Week".
I have'nt been able to work so much on PQ over these days, need to concentrate while doing that.
But I have been working alright.

Been going back to the roots and started working with some pure pixel graphics.
This have made me start on a small game project named "Night of the Hatchet".
This will be a oldschool sidescrolling shoot'em up with Zombies as the main foe.

I have made a couple of sprites at this moment, and started working on the tiles for the first map.
