Playing with the header

As you may have noticed I've been playing around with the header design some lately (ctrl-f5 is your friend).

Centered designs with a kind of ornate/damask/grungy style to them with rock 'n roll details seem to be very hot right now. So I thought I'd try to whip something up. Also the logo was more integrated into the header than just an image floating on top. I kind of like it but I'm not 100% sure, I maybe went over the top with the grungy cracks... But I kind of like the techy style mixed with the old and withered...

It was my first time creating something like this, and I used vector graphics for the background stuff. There seem to be a lot of designs / information / tuts / freebies out there for vector graphics. I'f you're interested I recomend you checking it out! One thing I particularly like about vector gfx is that it seems to be much more reusable than good old pixels

I've always been interested in graphics, drawing, painting and such, to bad I have not found time to cultivate that desire properly, probably just lack of discipline though...
