I just got an email from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe saying they have checked out T.W.T.P.B. and they think it's "a strong candidate for development on PlayStation®." and that it "showed particular merit for evolving what is one of the industries oldest genres into something contemporary through its striking visuals and varied colour palette whilst also introducing an upgrade system that keeps the combat continuously interesting." Actually quite flattering that they seem to at least have tried it out and that they like it So what do you guys think? Would it be a good game for the PlayStation® Minis platform (i.e. PSP et. al.)? |

I think the gpu of the Wii actually could take this game pretty good as well! So if it comes to crossplatforming I see a good market on all the major consoles!
But for starters, getting it out on PSP would be Excellent!

How does the game play with a gamepad, ie. with no ultra fast mouse movement of the ship? Might need some adjustments in difficulty/speed?

You can actually play the game using a gamepad or joystick right now, just plug it in and play. It's definitely harder so there be a need for tweaking the difficulty when you don't have "direct control" of the mouse.

. We nearly failed a submission because we had filled something out slightly wrong.
PlayStation development
TWTPB for PSP sounds like a great idea! I think most games on SoP would fit perfectly in both PS3 Store and Xbox Live Arcade, only problem is that it might be tricky to actually get to release anything there. Now that Sony contacted you I guess the ride will be much smoother. It will be very interesting to hear about what you think about PSP development. The PS3 is quite a hazzle to handle at least...
