This can be considered a service release but a lot of details have been improved. Changelog:
- Mass driver (purple) weapon changed
- Enemies resized (too small before)
- Changed healing station graphics, and lower healing speed
- Added How to play menu
- Added leaderboards menu (placeholder, no highscore table yet, sorry)
- Added options menu
- Mouse sensitivity option
- Look around option
- Music volume option
- Effects volume option
- Mouse scrolling for weapon switch
- Arrows moving option
- Time-based waves instead of enemy-count based
- Spawn effect
- Color splash effect on enemy hit
- Fixed bug where buttonup events didn't take every time
- Fixed camera not positioning on player at game start
- Fixed music not looping
Big changes are coming in i7... until then... Have fun! (And speak your mind here).

Just played for a few
Just played for a few mins!
I must say that I really enjoyed the action now! Good work!
Some issues I have:
I have a hard time grocking where the walls actually start. Maybe add an outline to them? This makes me get "stuck" in the heat of battle which is a bit frustrating.
After I "survived" I got the "survived screen" but could not get into the game again?
The mix of monsters makes it a bit hard to use the optimal weapon. I mostly just blast away with one of the guns
Possibly this could be fixed by clustering groups of similar monsters together more? Some kind of flocking algorithm?
I'll play some more and see what else I can come up with!
Great to hear that it was a
Great to hear that it was a bit more fun now. I've realized it's still pretty brainless but base war mechanics, powerups, more interesting enemy behaviours and wave setup and changes to the map are coming. I think it will be a lot of fun then.
hmm okay, now that you say it i know zelda 3 had patterns running along the walls. maybe it was for this purpose
I wanna change all the graphics later though.
good idea. I've had similar changes in mind. Specifically that each spawner only spawns a certain type, releases a bunch at once and that smaller ones follow larger ones. This would make for entire armies of same-colored enemies. Which will be a blast (hehe) to deal with using the upcoming color bombs.
How does this sound to you?
EDIT: oh and right now you have to press escape to get back after finishing a game.

I definitely think that
I definitely think that clustering the enemies would be a good idea to try out. Possibly just spawning a bunch of them will be enough, or you might need some nifty ai to keep monsters of the same type together.
I'd also like the weapons to "loop" when using the scroll wheel. Since you have three weapons each weapon would then only be a "one scroll" away.
Crash
The game crashes on me when I select Play and 1 player (directly after pressing 1 player button).

We'll test that in the next
We'll test that in the next iteration hobbe. it could get harder to keep track of what's coming next or previous from your position though.
johno: it seems FMOD reports invalid file on XP for me at work. could you check the .log file in the game directory if that's your issue too?
