So, something short about me. Benny was born in '82 and has been living around Linköping ever since. I was engulfed by games only a few years later with the NES classics Super Mario Bros., RC Pro Am and Track and Field. My older brother sold it for an ATARI in the late 80's and I got to play even more games as well as playing around with the first trackers. The interest to make something myself grew by the second, and I started playing around with GFA Basic. I began by making simple adventure and sports-score-randomizing games on the ATARI. In '92 my parents preordered a SNES for my birthday and soon thereafter heaven came to earth. Zelda 3 and F-Zero was my first games after the included Super Mario World and now I just had to make my own games. In 8th grade I wrote my first top-down games in VB together with a classmate. BushFight! and DeathTrap ruled I tell ya! Anyway, getting frustrated with VB I moved on to real things like C++ and DirectX and wrote my first DX7 game as a final exam in high school. It was called Boardball and changed pong-games forever... or not. But it did have options for different skins, 320 balls in play and different sized boards and balls. You could also move the board horizontally which sometimes made balls go through it. College came and gave me a bachelors degree in computer science and shortly after I got a job which now takes most of my time for development. Well, a few bad experiments later I started on Roadclub, joint effort with college buddy Ralf, which after.. um.. almost 6 years now is becoming pretty polished (which you'd expect by now). Today the friendly dudes here have given us the opportunity to release the game on their precious hUb platform which is awesome. Cheers to our great future in games guys! So much for "short", I love talking about myself too much. |
