TWTPB i11 info

Since there was no iteration release last friday I'd thought I'd give some information on what's up with T.W.T.P.B. The project is very much alive and kicking.
Though I admit it has been somewhat on a back burner since the release of Caribbean Pirate Quest has taken a lot of time, effort and energy.

Iteration 11 was actually finished on time (as usual) but we are experiencing some technical problems in hUb due to the aforementioned power failure. That is hUb is read only and we are unable to make any changes to our files.

Anyways, I have continued working and the I11 release will feature some interesting new things. The biggest new thing is the inclusion of a missile ability. The missiles are auto homing and the idea is that you can use them as a "smart bomb". The missiles always depleats your energy completely, but the more energy you have the more missiles you get. This is a really helpful tool in those tricky spots!

The biggest change is that you now do not have all the abilities from the start of the game. Rather you get them as a bonus reward after defeating a boss. Right now this is actually not explained or visualized in any way, but I'm working on that too.

I've also done a lot of work on the first and last bosses, to make them more fun and cool. I really hope I'll be able to make this release soon!
