Download and install hUb, it lets you play all our pc games!
Iteration 1 Feedback
Gr8 work!
The ship looks superb and nice with 16:9 optional resolution!
I get a little low framerate...
now let us have some more gameplay!
Iteration 1 Feedback
This is fixed now
It was possibly caused by timer errors on multicore systems

Iteration 1 Feedback
Some resolution change problems have been fixed, and 16:10 resolution is also supported.

Iteration 1 Feedback
I like the improved menu, and the 3d model is indeed cool in that it banks and such. However I don't like the way it pitches when moving forward and backward, it seems like the perspective is messed up somehow.
There appears to be a music bug when you change the resolution, it seems like the music is retriggering strangely or perhaps even being played twice.
Also, you don't necessarily have to change resolution to control the aspect ratio, as this is controlled by the projection matrix independently of resolution. I do this in Z-Fighter, keeping the resolution the same all the time but allowing the user to choose the aspect ratio. The good thing about this is that it doesn't require a big clunky restart of things, you just set the matrix (if you are using fixed function, otherwise you could even calculate it on the fly if using HLSL).

I agree that the forward/backwards tilting feels a bit strange... the ship kind of "leaves" the plane of the game.
I will take a look at the musik thingy!
The main reason for changing resolution and not just aspect ratio is that some monitors/drivers does not rescale 4:3 resolutions to fill the whole monitor... that is you get black edges.

twtpb quits out to windows (no send dialog, just disappears) on my gf2mx when I click the play-button.
noticed same problem with the music during resolution change.
it may not be apparent to everyone to click the highscorebutton again to close it but I don't know.
what the **** does twtpb stand for?
Iteration 1 Feedback
The game requires shadermodel 2.0 (same for AWorld) so I guess gf2 is out of the question
It should give an errormessage though...
The meaning of TWTPB will be revealed in the intricate storyline

Iteration 1 Feedback
heh okay. thats a twist
Iteration 1 Feedback
Bullet hell!
Spamming bullets is fun though, and I found myself playing 15-20 rounds just to try and get into the high score list. That plan failed miserably, it's a quite tricky game in the current state
I never really figured out what the different powerups were, which one is shield etc. At one stage I was wondering if maybe you have to form a sequence like diamond-diamond-square or something to get a shield
Guess I didn't have time to look for a correlation between symbol and the numbers at the top of the screen.
That's in fact another point, that in 16:10 mode the stats at the top of the screen were barely visible for me on a 19" widescreen monitor. Looked like the text was suffering from some some bad scaling. Also, I could only switch from 4:3 to 16:10, if I tried going from 16:9 to 16:10 nothing happened when I hit the ui button.
The geometry wars style graphics are cool, and enemies built from lots of small blocks too! Kind of reminds me of a boss in Rez that's made up of simple blocks and morphs into various shapes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAncDNDsv7s&feature=related (crappy video quality)
Keep up the good work!
Iteration 1 Feedback
Indeed bullet hell!
It definitely needs more variation and also be based on skill and not luck as it is now. I will work on the gameplay during the next iteration!
The powers will be changed to more obvious ones but for now:
Triangle = weapon powerup
Square = shield
Diamon = score
Nice to hear from you again! Hope all is well! Got to love that avatar image

Iteration 1 Feedback
Hehe yeah, gotta love pixel graphics. Actually I've just realised how much more early/lowres 3d hurts my eyes than early 2d graphics... I'm playing Ocarina of Time on the N64
Going shamelessly off topic here...
But yes, all is well, I've just come out of a small crunch period at the end of the GripShift project at work. 3-4 weeks of omg-we-have-to-get-the-game-out-before-christmas-work
But overall it's been a pretty enjoyable learning experience, doing mainly graphics programming and learning a new console that the company has not released on previously. The question now is what I'll get to work on next. My plan is to stick around for that at least...
Oh and by the way, summer is really taking off here now
I took these pictures last weekend:

(Sidhe Interactive is in the yellowish building with the red roof just left of the center in waterfront.jpg)
I have to admit though that Sweden has a pretty good setup as well with proper differences between the seasons and everything
Iteration 1 Feedback
Major bug!!! (I guess)
I cant see the ship
makes it pretty hard to play...
If I'm not mistaking there is some kind of geforce 4 card in this machine, if thats any help.
Iteration 1 Feedback
You need shadermodel 2.0 to play twtpb, but there seem to be a bug that no error is reported...

Iteration 1 Feedback
Iteration 1 Feedback
BTW: Sweet pix there washout!
You should only need to get a small doze of Kalmar in November to get cured from your "the seasons should differ" thingy
