Well, since no one else created this thread... I like where the game is headed, with more varied enemies. The big enemy formation that covered most of the screen really took me by surprise and blew me right out of the sky. Which brings me to another point; have you removed the shield powerups completely? Since the game is obviously getting harder, maybe they should be brought back? And I still want an option to disable the ingame music |

I also think the difficulty is somewhat in the right area although maybe on the hard side. There are no shield powers in the last two iterations but they will definitely reappear.
We're having some discussions about changing the way the energy works to a more; "energy bar" style the shield powers would then expand your max amount of energy.
Energy could then be used for a multiple of things, like special abilities, weapons or smartbombs.
What do you think about that?
"No music option" will be in the next iteration if not sooner

So basically you would have an energy bar, and you would lose energy by getting hit or using special items? I like that idea. Missiles and similar would be nice, but it shouldn't be made a too big part of the game, i.e. you shouldn't be able to fire a missile on every other enemy.

Yes that is the general idea.
So as you fire weapons your energy decreases and thus you get a limited supply of these special weapons.
Also you would regain energy by collecting the "score gems" and/or by time.

Iteration 3 is hard! But I really like where the game is heading.
Although I must admit that when you get to the second wave (I.E. when it starts repeating itself) it's just silly how fast things move.
Also, the big boss is quite hard since when he appears on screen you can't seem to prevent losing one shield.
And I'm still voting for a change of colours on enemy explosions/bullets so they are easier to tell apart from eachother. The smalles enemy module is a bit small too, the second smallest should be the new smallest.
Other than that I think it's great.

I agree that the boss is hard... but i have actually managed to beat it without loosing a shield, so it can be done
I agree on the other points... the looping stuff is temporary since the game is
quite short...

I haven't been able to take him without losing a shield yet, but once I figure it out it's gonna be saweet. Can you do it regularly though or was it just a one time thing?

I've beaten him twice without losing a shield.
