I just transformed this thread into a more generic "T.W.T.P.B." on the internet. If you find anything interesting, like a review, movie or something that you don't think we know about. Post it here!

T.W.T.P.B. got a review at cosmosgaming:

hey it almost brought tears to mine, and I'm not even involved. It's just awesome seeing someone appreciate something kinda simple that much. It gives hope to all of us Smiling

However didn't he confuse things? Like I'm sure the game won't be free forever, and I'm sure it will be much nicer looking and better sounding once that happens..

Game tunnel just reviewed T.W.T.P.B. in their monthly roundup.

It got a Silver Award and a 4th place with a combined score of 7.5. It was up against some really string opponents (Mutliwinia, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People - Strong Badia) made by high profile indies with real budgets for their games Laughing out loud

Best yet is that I got some more points to improve Smiling

It got praise for the visuals and music, tight control and that it is easy to pick up. The negative aspects seem to mostly be related to that it is hard. Level 5 anyone Smiling

TWTPB is an eye-candy treat, with explosions, glowing enemies, and vibrant colors galore

It has amazing style for it's minimalist aesthetic and backs it up with game play that for the first four levels made me feel like I was a rock star.

Though I read Gametunnel religiously, it's obvious to me that none of the reviewers bothered to finish the game, otherwise they would have more to say than "a plain old shooter, done really well". And "it's too hard". And especially, "the story detracts, rather than adds to, the game." That one is particularly ridiculous.

I tell ya, if Braid is going to get drooled on by everyone with a computer hooked up to the internet, TWTPB should get at least a decent fraction of that drool, for many of the same reasons.

I guess it's quite "hard" to finish TWTPB in such a short amount of time. Especially if you approach it as a standard shoot em up Eye-wink It's so easy to get stuck in your ways and just follow instructions...

Though I must say that I'd really like to have some of that Braid drool coming this way Smiling Unfortunately I have not played Braid myself but it is probably easier to approach it with a more open mind since the core game play is something different. In TWTPB you get a standard shmup approach and then...

Anyway... all I want is to get as many people as possible playing TWTPB, and that GameTunnel review was very positive in many ways Smiling

Casual Review have just posted a review of TWTPB. Cool that a casual site picked it up and I also think the review is both fair and positive. You can also vote for TWTPB there too.
