Hi, I dusted off my pirate quest copy again and found a few things. highscore tables are empty when I start the game. only after a few arcade runs are they filled again. I'm repeatedly reminded that I'm number one on the list even though I know there's hundreds on it sometimes I don't get an hourglass when I match 4 objects. maybe it should be that way. |

No problem with the internet connection during the game.
No Highscore problems here...
hmmm... strange... I get the correct highscores. Firewall issues?
You can check the global Pirate Quest Arcade highscores
I guess toll can answer the 4 objects match thingy
I played at my mom's so
I played at my mom's so there can definitely be something like that. strange tho that the list shows up after a few rounds of arcade. which ports are you using? regular http should't be a problem should it?
my score was something at 9000 so I don't see it.
btw, when seeing the highscores, it would be nice with a date when it was set for all scores and games
I guess different firwalls
I guess different firwalls handle stuff differently. It is http, but I think most firewalls has a per application setting.
But it is strange that the list gets populated with the correct scores after some time? Then it could only be a slow connection?
About the highscore stuff i'm thinking of implementing something like "todays scores", "7 days scores", "30 days scores", "all time scores"
hmm yeah maybe your code
hmm yeah maybe your code gives up too soon and it would have been populated later if it had tried a couple of more times. and sometimes it IS fast enough to get the scores. she has a 8-1 broadband connection but its kinda sucky sometimes.
yeah that could be great.
