Iteration 18

So... iteration 18 is released. Quite a small update but it changes some aspects of the boss fights I guess. Was a bit messy to incorporate a timer so I hope everyting works out and that there are no bugs left. I'd like to know if the time for each boss is sufficient or to much. I played the bosses and tripeled or quadrupled the time it took for me to kill a boss. I'm also considering removing freelancers huge highscore since it was due to using an exploit that no longer exists. Would you mind? For the next iteration I will really try to get some new level(s) in there... But it's hard to get the time... All comments or suggestions are welcome. |

Gui
I noticed that the gui for the selected powerup always looks the same, even before you gain access to the powerups themselves. Perhaps it might be a good idea to make this look different before you actually get the powerups?

Yeah... I've been thinking about that a bit. I actually like that the icons are there, but maybe they should be more translucent when the ability is not activated.

Keep up the good work. By the way, have you concidered releasing a level editor? Would be kinda fun (or not?) to make own levels. Like, mazes and stuff

Thnx. Regarding the level editor it is integrated into the game, so it would technically be easy to release. Though it is not very user friendly... I'll think about releasing it when the game is "finished"
Score Removed
I have just removed your top score freelancer, so now I'm back in the lead
I think you will beat it quite easily though.
I played the current hUb version with only 3 lives. Got past the first wave on level 6 for the top score. Pretty much wiped the other levels for all enemies.

Yeah, it wasn't that hard to beat. I think you give me a bit too much credit though, I still have no idea how to beat the first wave on level 6
Oh, and about the timer. Not sure if you want my opinion on it, but... I could probably go make some dinner, eat it, watch the latest episode of Doctor Who, and still have time to kill the bosses. (Ok, maybe I exaggerated just a little bit, but you get the point
)

Hard to tell how new players take on the bosses. I guess they need more time to just understand the boss. But point taken
That first wave is a matter of careful movement, blasting away at the right moment and not panicking. Note that the majority of bullets are actually not aimed at you, but rather to the sides...

You're right, it is all about timing, thanks. The rest of that level was cool. A bit different. Didn't survive the boss though, only had two lives left. I'll try again later.
