Tvs for gaming
|
I have spent a few hours trying to find a new TV for my living room and shit there really is a jungle out there... I want a 32-42" with good qualities for movies and games. Now I´m trying to create a list of TVs. Maybe I overdo this? It will only end with me keeping my old TV since it is impossible to find anything perfect. |

Definitely
I guess you are after the cheapest price/performance combo?
One thing that you should also take into account is the time you spend looking and how valuable that is to you.
I myself often use 250sek/h as a rule of thumb.
and oh... gaming is spelled gaming (not gameing) I have changed this...
Yeah, i think I just should
Yeah, i think I just should go buy one
There's no such thing
..as overdoing it
I spent a good 3 months looking for my tv and I'm really happy. It delivered what I expected for the money I spent.
When you're paying 10k+ it's no fun being disappointed and regret the purchase..

I definitely agree... but
I definitely agree... but there must be a limit to it
I guess in the gadgets business 3 months could be a looong time and specs and prices change...
anyway... fyi dtoll has bought a TV so we need not worry that he spends all his time looking for one.
It was nice, some kind of 37" Phillips i think, with a lot of stickers on it.
Now the only thing left is to mount it on the wall, ho ho ho
Philips 37´´
So I finally bought a TV and it is mounted to the wall, I think the image is great except for analog TV.
I have played some Wii games on it and the image is really OK, But some games have really jagged edges.
An unexpected side effect is that I have started to use the Opera web browser on the Wii, it works really nice and is much faster than starting the computer. I don't recommend using it for writing intense surfing (unless you have a USB keyboard)
I´m thinking of buying the Wii component cable...
