Spell of Play at DreamHack Winter 10

As it seems I'll be attending DreamHack winter 2010 for a couple of days (25-26/11). I'll be demoing the XBox360 version of TWTPB and collecting user feedback. Do some live coding etc.

If you are at DreamHack feel free to drop by the Linneaus University booth ( DreamExpo i B-hallen, B06:06).

Dreamhack epilogue

So... it is the first day after getting home from Dreamhack. As always it feels kind of empty and a bit of a sudden change when you had go into the pace of the event. As I wrote before I'm very happy to have attended and I will definitely do it again!

So... some thought on how to market with a very small budget on Dreamhack.

There where no real game developers present at the event and this presents an opportunity.

Dreamhack Day 3

Ok... Day three went really fast... so fast I did not get the time to make a post before we had packed up our stuff for the evening.

Day three was by far the best day. I don't know if it was that I had got used to the event or that the event had settled in from the initial hysteria. Also day three is said to be the best day.

Dreamhack Day 2

After sleeping more or less like a dead... I've been back in the heat Sticking out tongue It actually feels a bit calmer today... but maybe it is just me getting used to the comotion...

It's actually quite hard to get noticed in all the noise, and general disintrest from the attendants (though some are very interested, others motsly just want as much swag as they can get their hands on...) I even think that the quite unique JAS flying show went by rather unnoticed much because it was outside...

I guess most people here are quite introverted.

Dreamhack Day 1

Ok...

Where shall I start... It is quite crazy here at Dreamhack... computernerds in every corner and massive marketing by many of the major hardware manufacturers. Intel is making a big but somewhat repetetive impression by having a huge display with two F1 cars repeatedly boasting the "ziiiiii ziiii ziiii" sound of F1 cars in max thrust... 12h of that is enough to make anyone crazy... On top of this they have a 30 sec jingle they run over and over and over and over...
