This is the somewhat regular Spell of Play newsletter, exclusively for Spell of Play community members!

There has been a lot of stuff happening lately. Johno and Mad have released a new platform game Bloom, a new update of T.W.T.P.B. was just released and dntoll have released several Mini Golf Worlds. The site is continuing to grow with both new features (Buzz) and new members!

We're all bracing for x-mas and we're planning some sweet stuff for you!

Last but not least, the price of T.W.T.P.B. will be raised on Monday, so if you're planning on getting the full version (you definitely should) go get it now!

Bloom
At long last, Bloom has been released! Bloom is a colourful platform game where you execute cool and crazy moves in your flower-picking quest.

Developed by Mad and johno, Bloom features a huge game world as well as dynamic music and ambience.

We intend to continue creating episodes in this vein, featuring new characters with new abilities as well as new worlds to explore.

T.W.T.P.B.
Iteration 27 of our shoot em up game T.W.T.P.B. is available for download. This iteration features mostly polished items. We're bracing for one final iteration of T.W.T.P.B. now and we hope to make it in one big push! Iteration 27 is available as automatic download via hUb or manual zip archive. The update features the following changes:

* Memory consumption reduced
* Keyboard menu navigation partially implemented
* Music volume settings
* Sound effect volume settings
* Click in the communiques and all text is shown immediately
* Difficulty setting screen has been fine tuned
* Some spelling and grammar error fixed

As usual we'd like to hear your comments and suggestions. The following iteration is probably the last regular iteration so this could be the last time to make your voice heard! Visit the t.w.t.p.b. forums and make yourself heard!

This is the somewhat regular Spell of Play inside news newsletter, giving you the inside scoop!

The last few weeks have been really exiting. T.W.T.P.B got a fourth place at GameTunnels October roundup and also a good review over at CasualReview.

It's really motivating to get a good review and It's sure an inspiration to push through the last few iterations.

On the website we have introduced a beta version of a new feature: Achievements. You find it under your user profile and there you can currently check out your highest scores in TWTPB and Caribbean Pirate Quest. We are planning on adding more game specific achievements and statistics. It's a work in progress and we will take any comments or ideas into consideration. Just leave a comment in the forum:

T.W.T.P.B.
A new version of T.W.T.P.B., a pc shoot em up game, is available for download via hUb or as a separate archive. The 26th iteration features three levels of difficulty and some other changes.

* Three levels of difficulty
* Fixed high score crash bug
* Polished the credits scroll text
* Fixed some bugs in the options menu
* Some other small fixes

dntoll has started working on the Mini Golf Worlds game again. The project is still in early inception so you have a great opportunity to make your voice heard in this project. Mini Golf Worlds will be all about user created content, community integration and good old mini golf gaming!

T.W.T.P.B.
The 25th iteration of our shoot em up pc game - T.W.T.P.B. has just been released for automatic download via hUb. A separate archive is also available for download. This time around the main menu has got some well deserved attention. The following game updates have been made:

* Improved menu navigation and layout
* Added keyboard input configuration
* Added mouse input configuration
* Changed menu graphics
* Tweaked the multiplier UI to include "x"
* Made some changes in the demo limitations

We are working on getting both Caribbean Pirate Quest and TWTPB out to different publishers and portals. Marketing is indeed and hard work for game developers and we need all the help we can get! New localized version in both Swedish, Spanish and French are available for download.

TWTPB
A new download of our shoot em up pc game, T.W.T.P.B. has just been released. The iteration 24 download features a new scoring multiplier schema. This new download includes

* Score Multiplier when destroying a full formation, it is reset if you miss a formation, get damaged or miss a power drop.
* Improved game pad support
* Game pad input settings
* Added some polish to the name entering screen
* Level 5 has been made a bit easier
* Level 5 has been made a bit easier
* Simplified jump gate procedure
* Level 5 has been made a bit easier
* Rift shader fixed for shader model 2.0
* Lots of smaller fixes

T.W.T.P.B.
Iteration 23 of our pc shoot em up game, T.W.T.P.B. has just been released. This update features basic support for game pads as controller. This update includes

* Basic game pad support
* Hud layout changed
* Ship icons to indicate number of lives added
* Cool font for score
* Life and energy bars have got some gradients and a border
* Lots of smaller fixes

The twtpb beta was a huge success and we got a ton of suggestions and ideas for improvements, as well as a bunch of issues to fix. Working hard the last few days many things have now been improved and we are pleased to announce a new version, iteration 22 to be more exact.

T.W.T.P.B.
Iteration 22 was just released. As usual hUb users gets the update first of all. This update takes care of many issues from the beta release, making the game a lot smoother. We'd like to thank the persons from different sources that took the time to both test the game and share their opinion and ideas.

The changes include

* The player ship has been made a bit larger to reflect the collision box better. The size of the collision box is the same as before. The hit area on the ship now conforms mostly to the cockpit module of the ship.
* Support for 1920 x 1200 resolution
* Energybar flashes when you pick up an energy pellet
* Life bar flashes when you get hit
* Background does not scroll when paused
* The game now starts immediately no matter how long you have alt-tabbed away from it
* First level is made a bit easier for balance
* A single mouse click now shoots only once
* Credits and esq issues resolved
* Music is turned on by default
* Some other minor fixes

Hi!

This is the Spell of Play newsletter. This week we´d like to inform you that we are about to migrate our whole website to another web host. This is a lot of work and we hope that everything will run smooth and there will be no loss of data or downtime. However we do apologize for any inconvenience. We hope to be able to make the migration during the next week.

Our new host will provide a more stable and high performance environment enabling us to add more functionality and features. To put it simply we'll be able to grow both bigger and better after this!

Astro Creeps and UFOPilot II have been integrated into the community and you can now see the top 25 players online on the community portal.

Iteration 21 of T.W.T.P.B. was just released. This release features the following changes:

* Added sounds for the missiles
* Tweaked the boss health and time bars
* Improved player bullet graphics
* Some other minor tweaks and fixes
